We have been listening to a book. This one is named “Just Do It!” It is a Donald Trump’s Mastery Class book by Eugene Washington.
I am so pumped up about this book. It starts out saying, Dear Winner! Wow, doesn’t that just sound Awesome? You are a Winner! Just think about it, you started out life as a winner.
Starts out telling you how you are the first of 200,000 sperm. Think about it. You would not have been born if your mother did not have your father’s sperm to make you. And you are one of how many eggs that your mother had? I know, not a pretty thing to think about, but it is true. Don’t you agree? Now enough of the adult stuff.
Okay, you need another proof that you are a winner? Do you walk? Do you talk? Do you get around? How do you think you achieved these successes? Yes, although minor, they are all evidences that you are a success. Don’t sell yourself short. You are a Winner!
In the book, it tells how you are a winner. All the examples of these things show that you are a winner.
So, just because you don’t have the financial back-up that some people have, does not make you a loser. You are a winner. I just proved it.
Here are some questions for you. Think about them. Answer them Honestly. Do any of them apply to you? Keep reading. You will be amazed!
- Okay, so what are your excuses for not making your million or billion in life?
- Do you have a disability?
- Did you get into a bad car wreck and now have lost some limbs?
- Do you think you are too old or too young?
- Are you poor?
- Did you only have a mother or only a father?
- Did you come from a background that others have not achieved things?
- Do you live in the most wretched of places?
- Were you abused most of your life?
- Were or areyou discriminated against?
- Were or are you living in a desert island?
- Were you a part of a gang or in the wrong crowd growing up?
- Did you make poor grades in school? Were you bullied growing up, or were you the bully?
- Do you have a problem reading?
- Do you have no friends?
- Do you have little capital to start a business?
- Have you failed at a lot of stuff you do?
- Have you felt like you cannot do something because you always fail?
- Did your teachers in school say that you will not amount to a hill of beans?
- Did your parents, family, teachers, or anyone else constantly tell you that something cannot be done?
- Do you… just fill in the blank with anything you do have or think you don’t have to make it.
Well, my friend, if any of the above applies to you, then you are in great company! What do I mean? There are a great many millionaires and billionaires out there that started out just like you. You have the Choice in this life to do what it takes or not to do what it takes. It is not an easy choice to make.
In reading the book Just Do It, I have discovered a lot of things about life, riches, and getting rich. What is rich you ask?
I had a friend tell me that rich is the end result of your goal. It is what you set out to accomplish and achieve. A different meaning to rich, isn’t it? Yes, the dictionary says that to be wealthy is rich. But it also says to have great possessions or resources.
So, are you rich? I would answer “yes” to that. You are here with WA and that makes you one rich person. Why do I say this, you say? Look around you. What do you have? I can tell you. You have friends, family, support, training, guides, templates, and happiness, must I go on? Look at all the things here. Most places don’t have this type of network. Even Facebook cannot compare, in my opinion. It is like a wealth of knowledge sitting here for you to grab. For you to latch onto. If you are new or if you have been here for a while, you have it all! So, yes, you are rich!
In the book, it tells of different people who made it in life. Things that I have not even thought about. I want to start out with a quote.
“If you’re going to be thinking, you may as well think big.” – Donald Trump
Did you know that he said that? He did. So I want to impress upon you one thing – Think big! You are amazing! You are Awesome! You are one in a Million no, you are one in a Billion! Hey, think big, right?
Here is another quote – “In every person there is a sun. Just let them shine.” – Socrates
Back to the excuses. There are no excuses. You are what you think you are. If you think you can, you are right. If you think you can’t, you are right. It is all in how you think. You can let your surroundings or past or your lack of something stop you, or you can tell those things to get behind you and reach for the stars!
Here is a story shared from the book: There was a man who came across an elephant who was standing in the middle of the yard on a hot day. Just a few steps ahead of the elephant was a cool stream of water. The elephant was on a little chain that he could just snap at any time and go to the water. But this elephant didn’t. Why was this so? The man decided to ask the owner of the elephant why he did not go to the water to cool off. The owner explained that when the elephant was young he was put on a chain that he could not get out of. The elephant tried and tried for a long time to get out of the chain. But each time he could not escape. Then one day he gave up on trying. It was useless to try to get out of the chain. So after he stopped trying and when he grew up, he did not try any longer to get free. So, when he is older, he thinks in his mind that he cannot get out of the rope or chain. Since he could not do it when he was young, he thinks he cannot do it now. The picture above has a link to a video on a similar story of this. It is interesting.
So what does this have to do with us? We have had similar things done to us. We have been brought up to think that we have to do things in one certain way. We cannot possibly look at a different way to do things. Result is that we don’t try. We give up. We use our excuses to not do things to make us successful.
I am here to tell you, that is not true! We need to, as adults, break the chain! Be the elephant that breaks the rope. We need to do this to be successful! We can! You can! You will! Don’t let any excuses stop you! It does not matter if you are old, young, rich, poor, disabled – mentally or physically, been brought up with nothing, live in the poor areas, been disadvantaged. It does not matter the excuse or problems you think you have. You can do it! Just don’t stop trying! Don’t stop believing! Don’t stop making attempts! Don’t betray your happiness!
How many times did it take you to learn how to walk? Don’t remember? You could ask your mother, however, she may not remember either. How many times did it take you to learn to talk? How many times did it take you to learn the things you know today? See, you are a Winner! Don’t give up just because someone else says that you cannot do something.
Okay, you need examples of success from impossible situations? Here are some examples.
You say you are too old – Did you know that Grandma Moses did not paint till she was 76 years old? She started out as a simple peasant on a small farm and lived with a poor family working most of her life for rich neighbors. She milked cows and did all sorts of hard labor even after she married. Her story is in the book if you want to know more. Or look it up on the internet.
Another example: The biggest loser! Do you know who the biggest loser is? Colonel Sanders. Yes, that is right, the person who came up with the Kentucky Fried Chicken (Also known as KFC) chain. He started out trying to become a lawyer, which did not end well after his first case, which he got into a fight with his defendant and the Bar took away his license. He then tried to open a gas station, this failed too. He worked at a lot of places, even started a restaurant but to his dismay, they all ended up being a part of his failures. But did he stop? No. Even at 65, he did not stop. Finally, he remembered a chicken recipe that he had. He went around to different restaurants trying to sell his chicken recipe. No one wanted it. He was told that he was an idiot. People laughed at him. They told him that they were not interested in it. They humiliated him and called him all sorts of names. After 1006 tries, he finally got his first contract and KFC was born.
Pithagoras was 60, Julius Ceaser was 51, there are a number of others throughout history.
Now you say, well, they had an education. But you don’t. Or you don’t have the disabilities that I have. Well, my friend, here are other examples of famous or not so famous people. Most of these are covered in detail in the book. There are many examples. Just look them up on the website. Look up these people’s histories.
Thomas Edison dropped out of high school.
Giorgio Armani – studied medicine before becoming a fashion designer with no formal education.
Paul Orfalea, famous for Kinko’s photography and copy store, was dyslexic from childhood and a mentally retarded child and was told that he would not amount to anything except maybe a carpet layer.
Soichiro Honda – founder of Honda Motorcycles and cars. Born in a small village in a poor family. 2 of his brothers and a sister died of starvation. He was the only one that survived but did not go to high school.
Do you know Stephen Hawking? Famous astrophysicist of our times. His body is paralyzed and has been immobile for many years. He writes novels and is the head of Mathematics at Oxford University. He can only move 1 finger on his right hand. He has written many books, including “A Brief History of Time”. He uses a speech synthesizer for talking. His story is one of amazement. If you thought you had an excuse not to do something, you must read his story. He has come through things that I could not imagine. You have no excuse after reading his story.
Valentin Dikul – another good story of victory. He is the circus performer who, while doing a circus trick, fell down from a big height and broke his back. He was told that he would never be able to walk again. After that incident, he lifts weights more than 3300 pounds. He lifted a car.
Okay, enough of the examples. You can read the book to get more, or look online. Each book listed has a link to a book that tells more.
These are some examples. Pick someone and read their history. You will be amazed!
Now, what I would recommend is that you, yes you, sit down and write out all your failures, disabilities, things that are holding you back. Compare them to the ones here or look up someone online that has your exact reason for not going for it.
After you are done writing your list and finding other successful people, put it on the back burner, in your computer under a tab of “History” and go out and start being successful. One way you can start is by creating your own website at Wealthy Affiliate.
Let me know how you like this review and how you plan on succeeding, either at Wealthy Affiliate or any other business venture. I would like to have your opinion on my review as well. Thank you!
Oh, and after you have achieved success, please come back here and share your success story with your background. I will be interested in seeing it as well! And maybe your story can influence someone else.
